Randy has successfully represented clients in a variety of civil matters throughout Texas for over 30 years.
In 2006, Randy obtained a significant verdict for his client in a commercial lawsuit involving tortious interference with contracts and business disparagement.
More recently, he worked with a team of lawyers in Texas and Delaware to defeat a wrongful effort to recover over $200 million from his client.
Randy has represented hundreds of individuals and small businesses in construction defect cases and fighting insurance companies for wrongful coverage denials. He also helps clients who were the victims of fraud in real estate deals.
Randy has successfully helped corporations, insurers, governmental entities, school districts, religious and non-profit organizations in a broad range of matters, including business transactions and litigation.
Randy is often hired by other lawyers to testify as expert regarding insurance law and attorneys’ fees.
The existence and extent of insurance coverage is typically at the heart of most litigation. Randy knows insurance companies. At an early age, Randy watched his father conduct business as an insurance agent in Houston, Texas.
After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, Randy returned to Houston to work for his father. Their business expanded into commercial real estate development. While working in both insurance and real estate, he attended law school at night, never losing sight of his childhood goal to practice law.
Before his Of Counsel position at Byrd Ramsey and Ramsey Law, Randy was a partner at Chambers, Templeton, Cashiola & Thomas (1997-2009), Cashiola & Bean (2009-2017), and now Cashiola Law (2017-present).
Randy and his wife Margaret have been married for over 25 years, and together, they have a daughter, Allison, who is a Speech-Language Pathologist. He is active in his church and serves as counsel for the Diocese of Beaumont.
